I’m steve and I fly drones

My journey into aerial cinematography began with a spark of inspiration from one of the world’s most renowned photographers: George Steinmetz. His legendary images of western Oman changed my perspective on photography and showed me the piece I was missing: propellers

Flying above landscapes opened up an entirely new dimension of storytelling for me. I didn’t just fall in love with capturing stills from above; I became obsessed with the challenge of filming smooth, cinematic video that brings natural beauty and iconic landmarks to life through movement, parrallax, and colour.

As a Newfoundlander, I took the rugged beauty of the East Coast for granted but after living away, my perspective shifted to realize the unbeliveable natural and cultural beauty of Newfoundland. After returning home and walking the East Coast Trail, I saw how its rugged cliffs, hidden coves, and endless ocean horizons deserved to be shared with the world. That experience became the true impetus for creating Aerial Perspective. A project to share the beauty of Newfoundland with the world and educate the public on UAV safety and legality

What began as curiosity has become a passion: The quest for the perfect shot.
